Sichuan Beef Stir Fry
Sichuan Beef Stir-fry (Meat)
A flavourful stir-fry with beef and vegetables in a spicy Sichuan sauce.

Ingredients:
- 
300g beef (thinly sliced) 
- 
2 tbsp Sichuan chili oil 
- 3/4 Tsp Bicarbonate Soda
- 
1 onion (sliced) 
- 
1 bell pepper (sliced) 
- 
1 Courgette (sliced) 
- 
2 cloves garlic (minced) 
- 
1 tbsp ginger (grated) 
- 
2 tbsp soy sauce 
- 
1 tbsp rice vinegar 
- 
1 tbsp hoisin sauce 
- 
1 tsp sugar 
- 
1 tbsp corn starch (optional, for thickening) 
- 
Fresh cilantro for garnish 
Method:
- 
Heat Sichuan chili oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. 
- 
Add beef slices and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside. 
- 
In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, onion, bell pepper, and zucchini. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes. 
- 
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, and sugar. Add this sauce to the vegetables and stir. 
- 
Return beef to the pan and stir everything together. If needed, thicken the sauce with cornstarch mixed with a little water. 
- 
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with steamed rice.
